The Porsche 944 Turbo was introduced in 1985 and elevated the 944 series to
new levels of performance and style. Its turbocharged 2.5-litre
inline-four engine delivered a robust 217bhp making it a highly
desirable sports car of its era. While the standard 944 was already a
well-balanced machine the Turbo model took it a step further by adding
more power and refinement to the driving experience. Capable of 0-60mph
in just over 6 seconds this was a serious performer in the mid-1980s
sports car market.
The 944 Turbo's bold design had a smooth
aerodynamic shape which was punctuated by the distinctive pop-up headlights
