"Morris Mini Cooper S" (1963)
The 1963 Morris Mini Cooper S, shown here with a distinctive red body and
contrasting white roof, is a legend of small car performance. This
pint-sized powerhouse was developed for racing by John Cooper, and the
1,071 cc engine packed a surprising punch. With its compact size, nimble
handling, and front-wheel-drive layout, the Mini Cooper S became a
giant-slayer on both the streets and the rally circuit, most notably at
Monte Carlo. The white roof provides a visual cue to its sporting
heritage and hints at the car's
agility and speed.
