[art #290]. Limited Edition Print by Steve Dunn.
This Lamborghini Countach (1978) in red is one of the most instantly
recognisable supercars of all time, with its wedge-shaped profile,
scissor doors, and wide, angular bodywork. Designed by Marcello Gandini
at Bertone, the Countach was a bold statement of Lamborghini's
commitment to extreme design and performance. Powered by a 4.0-litre V12
engine, the 1978 Countach produced around 375bhp, allowing it to reach a
top speed of 180mph.
The red paintwork on this car highlights its aggressive, futuristic
shape, while the iconic scissor doors add a dramatic flair. The Countach
was as much a pop culture icon as it was a supercar, making appearances
in films, posters, and bedroom walls worldwide. With its raw power,
minimal driver aids, and heavy steering, the Countach was not for the
faint-hearted, but it remains a symbol of Lamborghini's audacious
approach to supercar design, blending power, speed, and sheer presence.
