[art #252]. Limited Edition Print by Steve Dunn.
The Jaguar E-Type Low Drag from 1962 is a rare and highly modified version
of the E-Type, designed for racing and improved aerodynamics. This
particular example, finished in silver with a blank white circle for its
race number, is a tribute to Jaguar's pursuit of motorsport glory. The
Low Drag variant featured a lightweight aluminium body and a more
streamlined shape, enhancing its top speed and handling on the track.
Under the bonnet, the Low Drag was powered by a 3.8-litre straight-six
engine, tuned for maximum performance. The car's aggressive looks and
raw power made it a formidable competitor in endurance races like Le
Mans, where Jaguar was keen to continue its racing legacy. The silver
bodywork gleams with purpose, while the race number area hints at the
car's rich motorsport heritage. The Low Drag remains one of the most
iconic and sought-after racing Jaguars ever built.
