[art #214]. Limited Edition Print by Steve Dunn.
The Ferrari 328 GTB depicted here in beautiful Ferrari red marked the evolution of
Ferrari's mid-engine V8 sports cars and built on the success of the
earlier 308 models. Introduced in 1985 and continuing production until
1989, the 328 represented the final iteration of Ferrari's two-seater V8
line before the arrival of the 348. The 328 was equipped
with a 3.2-litre V8 engine delivering 270bhp and a top speed of
around 166mph. Its acceleration from 0 to 60mph clocked in at a
swift 5.5 seconds making it a spirited performer.
The exterior design styled by Pininfarina remained largely faithful to
the 308's shape but featured subtle refinements that gave the car a
sleeker more modern appearance. The flush-fitting bumpers, integrated
into the bodywork, cleaner lines, and upgraded interior made the 328 a
more comfortable and user-friendly Ferrari without sacrificing
performance. The five-spoke alloy wheels and
distinctive side air intakes contributed to the car's unmistakable
Ferrari aesthetic.
The Ferrari 328 earned a reputation for reliability and ease of use
compared to other Ferraris of the era making it a favourite among
enthusiasts and collectors alike. The Ferrari styling accentuated its
timeless design and to this day the 328 remains one of the most sought after
and desirable models from Ferrari's classic V8 era.
