Popularised by TV's Magnum P.I. and still one of the most timeless of all Ferraris, the Ferrari 308 was a sleek, mid-engined V8 sports car which became an instant classic and an enduring symbol of the brand. The 308 gained widespread recognition not only for its stunning design, crafted by Pininfarina, but also for its performance and handling. With its 2.9-litre V8 engine, the 308 produced 240 bhp, which allowed it to accelerate from 0 to 60mph in 6.5 seconds, impressive figures for its time. The car was a joy to drive, offering a top speed of 155mph and excellent handling, thanks to its lightweight chassis and well-balanced mid-engine configuration.

The 308's body was made of steel and fibreglass, contributing to its agility and nimble performance. The signature pop-up headlights, curvaceous body, and wide stance gave the 308 a dynamic appearance, while the prominent side air intakes and five-spoke alloy wheels became trademark features of Ferrari's mid-engine sports cars.

The 308's interior was driver-focused, with bucket seats, a gated manual shifter, and a compact steering wheel, creating an intimate connection between the driver and the car. The Ferrari 308 remains one of the most recognisable and beloved Ferraris, not just for its role in popular culture but for its combination of beautiful design and thrilling performance.
