The Bugatti Type 35 is one of the most beautiful and successful race cars in history, a jewel of pre-war motorsport design. Painted in its historic blue colour, the Type 35 dominated the European racing scene winning over 1,000 races in its career. The Bugatti's achievements on the track, particularly in events like the Targa Florio, made it an automotive legend, embodying the elegance and innovation for which Ettore Bugatti became renowned.

The car was powered by a 2.0-litre straight-eight engine which produced around 90bhp, impressive for its time. Weighing only 750 kg the Type 35 could reach speeds of 120mph, a remarkable feat for the 1920s. Bugatti's use of advanced materials such as aluminium alloy wheels and a hollow front axle helped reduce weight and improve handling. The Type 35 was also known for its beautiful horseshoe-shaped grille and flowing body lines making it not only fast but also one of the most aesthetically pleasing race cars ever built.

Driven by stars like Louis Chiron and Albert Divo, the Type 35 saw many successes in Grand Prix racing and its legacy has endured as one of Bugatti's greatest masterpieces. The Bugatti Type 35 remains a symbol of the golden age of motorsport, combining beauty, performance, and engineering genius in one iconic package.
