The BMW M4 Coupé (2014 DTM Winner), resplendent in its white livery and
bold Exide sponsorship logo continued BMW's dominance in the highly competitive
Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters (DTM). This car driven by Marco Wittmann
secured the championship in spectacular fashion, marking BMW's second
driver's title in just three years after their return to DTM. The M4
DTM with its sleek aerodynamic lines and cutting-edge racing
technology, is a symbol of precision engineering and high-performance
racing.
Under the bonnet the M4 Coupé was powered by a 4.0-litre V8 engine
delivering around 500bhp. This raw power was harnessed through
an advanced drivetrain, enabling blistering acceleration and top-tier
performance. The wide front splitter, rear wing, and carbon-fibre
elements contributed to improved downforce and handling at high
speed making the M4 as nimble as it was powerful on the track.
Marco Wittmann's championship-winning drive at Zandvoort in the
Netherlands showcased the perfect harmony between driver and machine,
with the BMW M4 Coupé delivering consistent dominant performances
throughout the season. The distinctive white body, marked with that Exide
branding, remains a defining image of the 2014 DTM season, cementing
BMW's reputation as a force to be reckoned with in touring car racing.
