M3, the Sport Evolution was built with racing in mind, featuring more
power, lighter weight, and advanced aerodynamics. Limited to just 600
units, it is one of the rarest and most sought-after models in BMW's
legendary M3 lineup.
Under the bonnet (or 'hood' if you prefer!) lies a 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine, producing 238
bhp, an increase over the standard M3 models. This engine, paired
with a five-speed manual transmission and a lightweight chassis, allowed
the Sport Evolution to deliver razor-sharp handling and impressive
acceleration, making it a joy to drive on twisty roads and racetracks
alike. The revised aerodynamics, including an adjustable front splitter
and rear wing, improved downforce and stability at high speeds.

requirements for Group A Touring Car racing, where the E30 M3 had
