[art #234]. Limited Edition Print by Steve Dunn.
The Aston Martin DBR9 is a track-focused evolution of the DB9 road car which
made its debut in 2005 and quickly established itself as a force to be
reckoned with in GT racing. Built specifically for endurance races like
the 24 Hours of Le Mans, where it competed in the GT1 class, the DBR9
featured extensive modifications to maximise its performance on the
track. This Limited Edition print depicts one of the
Prodrive-run cars that competed in the 2005 Le Mans.
Powered by a 6.0-litre V12 engine producing over 600bhp, the
DBR9 delivered incredible straight-line speed and acceleration while
its carbon-fibre body and stripped-out interior significantly reduced
its weight. Aerodynamic enhancements including a large rear wing and front
splitter gave the DBR9 exceptional handling and stability at high
speeds, making it a formidable competitor against rivals cars from Corvette
and Ferrari.
Aston Martin's return to racing with the DBR9 proved highly successful,
with the car claiming multiple class victories at Le Mans and other
endurance races. Its blend of power, agility, and the unmistakable Aston
Martin design language has made the DBR9 a modern racing legend and a
celebrated part of Aston's illustrious motorsport history.
